Dans la cadre de l'exposition "Tapa d'Océanie et écorces d'Afrique centrale" présentée à la galerie Showroom au 7 place Gailleton jusqu'au 25 mars, nous vous proposons sur le blog un rendez-vous régulier à la découverte des tapa d'Océanie.
Ce tapa aux teintes noires et jaunes provient de Wallis et Futuna. Le répertoire iconographique est ordonné dans des espaces rectangulaires ou triangulaires. En partie centrale l'inscription : "SOFAIA" pourrait-désigner le nom de l'artisanne.

This tapa with yellow and black colors come from Wallis-Futuna. The iconographic motifs are organized in rectangles and triangles. The name in central part is maybe the name of the crafts-woman.
